Hormones: their effect on skin and hair 
The general treatment of acne involves using a non-soap cleanser twice a day, and ensuring no make-up is worn to bed. Alpha-hydroxy acid, lotions and scrubs are useful, as are topical retinoids, benzoil peroxide and sometimes antibiotics, both on the skin and swallowed.
